DESCRIPTION: Humber North Lex Collective is delighted to be hosting the Humber Cup Inaugural Moot Competition of 2025. Taking place at the North campus, we welcome all paralegal and undergraduate students to participate in this historical event as their chance to experience appellate-level advocacy over the summer. Join us for an exciting weekend of networking with legal professionals, developing lasting connections, and the opportunity for your team to be deemed the first ever champions in Humber Cup history. ELIGIBILITY: All undergraduate students and paralegal students from Canadian post-secondary institutions are permitted to register for this event. Please note that legal professionals (i.e. licensees) and law school students are NOT eligible to compete; however, they may register to be judges for the competition. Teams must consist of two competitors. Competitors do not need to be of attendence from the same institution. This year we will be allowing teams of one competitor to participate in Day 1 ONLY with permission from the Humber Cup Steering Commitee; teams of one will not be eligible to move on to Day 2 and will be expected to deliver submissions on all issues. TICKET INFORMATION: Registration fee for each team is $100.00. This fee will cover the costs for light refreshments throughout the day, as well as the lunch between rounds for both days. Please note that there will not be a banquet dinner; however, we will be hosting a Networking Hour in substitution to give judges and competitors a chance to mingle before the Awards Ceremony and Finalists annoucenment.
